Free Websites For All

Everything does not cost money. Some things that are free are actually worthwhile. Free web templates can be downloaded, Web2earn offers some of the best choices, and then can be used to develop a web site online for free that is customized to your needs. In this day and age, one size does not fit all and we need to treat each person as special and unique.

Depending on the audience that you are trying to target with your web site, you should make the right choices. If you are building a free business web site, then it is important that you use a serious approach by incorporating corporate color schemes and layouts. If your audience is teenagers, then the above choices will not work. Instead, you need to work out details so that your target group is attracted to your web site. Another way is to build a site from scratch. However, this makes the task more difficult. You would require awareness of serious web designing and development knowledge especially if you are trying to use your web site as a way to make money online.

Tricks of the trade!

If you want to be able to succeed then please don't try to imitate the Yahoo web site or any other large site clone. Such a task would require more than one person to complete the job. Once you have built your web site online for free, you would require finding some free or at least cheap hosting for it. Even though hundreds of services offer free hosting, the disadvantage is that they place ads on your web site which will decrease the amount of visitors you would have on your site.

One important recommendation is to buy your own domain as a free hosting domain will make your company appear to be extremely unprofessional. Built a free business web site but follow this piece of advice!

Romancing the heart and soul!

Dating web sites are always a hit because romance is something that all human beings desire. Using this old age idea will provide you will considerable profit as an online business entrepreneur. Online dating has been a huge industry in the past and now people are trying to figure out how to build a dating web site.

Online dating web sites require the use of cutting edge technology so that users have a deep and rich experience. In order to do so, many multimedia features such as Live Video Chat, Video recorders to post video profiles or advanced search capabilities are utilized. If you want to build a dating web site, remember to go beyond what is already being offered and provide something new so that you can attract new segments of users. Remember that building an online dating web site is not an easy task and can be very complex requiring more than one individual to complete the task.

Some clients believe that online dating services that incorporate the latest digital and voice technology helps one in saving time, allows space for more quality interaction during your dates and does not leave space for guesswork in your conversations. Facial expressions, voice tones and posture not only give us a sense of the other person but are important in determining our attraction to others.

Left solely to our imagination, it is impossible to fulfill realistic expectations as reality and imagination are poles apart. Face-to-face interaction whether it is in person or over a computer screen or through a videophone, provides you with the space for intimacy that is required to build a strong relationship foundation but allows you to maintain your online autonomy.

Duplicate Content - Will it Affect My SEO Development?

Duplicate content has created a great deal of concern for most webmasters. One can consider duplicate content to be websites, web pages or blogs that share the exact same information. The issue arises if a search engine runs a search and returns several pages of the same content. This also means the search engine is unable to provide a fantastic service for their customers. A lot of webmasters will download content from article directories; write reviews about other websites and most of us will even promote the same products.

So how does this affect you and duplicate content on your website?

Fortunately it won't affect you or your website at all and this is typically where the confusion is caused. Duplicate content occurs within your own website or blog. If you continuously write or post the exact same content from one page to another within your own domain name, then yes you will be penalized for duplicate content, as search engines will conclude that you are producing spam. You cannot possibly be penalized for having the same content as another website, there are many malls online that sell the exact same cell phone or play station game, the same line of clothing etc yet they still rank very high in the search engine database.

What about articles from article directories?

Obtaining articles from an article directory is absolutely fine, in fact it is great for building an informative website or bog, the only thing is you may not rank very high in the search engines for that particular article as the original source of the article will endure the benefits of search engine ranking. The same will apply to any products you choose to promote online.

Conclusion

Work on keeping each page within your website or blog unique from the any other page. Download articles from the article directories to build a really good informative site for your readers and visitors. Be sure to write your own content as this will help set your website or blog aside from others that are using the same content. You also have the option to source authors online and through other websites that will happily write unique and keyword based content for you; obviously a fee of some sort will apply.

SEO Miniseries - Rich Website, Poor Website - A Website Visibility Battle of Epic Proportions

Granted, this article appears a bit melodramatic. You young folks may have missed out on the classic mid-70's 12 part series "Rich Man, Poor Man" that chronicled the radically different paths the two Jordache brothers took in life. This highly acclaimed "miniseries" covered the tumultuous relationship between the brothers as well as their competition for the affections of their parents and the beautiful Julie Prescott (played by Susan Blakely).

Rudy (played by Peter Strauss), the favored son, is industrious and ambitious – he methodically achieves great business success and ultimately gets the girl. Tom (played by Nick Nolte), the renegade, refuses to play by the rules and tragically battles his inner demons with his fists.

Described by tv.com as "an epic television event of historical proportions", it is said to have inspired a fifteen year span of dramatic (albeit cheesy) TV miniseries. [1] All the major networks followed suit with their own miniseries productions including "The Pirates" and "Roots".

OK, it's a stretch but here is where I try to connect this article and web site design to a '70s made-for-TV drama. I have created two websites: WITHseo.com (http://www.withseo.com/ – the "Rich Website") and WITHOUTseo.com (the "Poor Website"). Check them out – the two sites look similar but differ dramatically in ways that will be described later in this article.

If this drama were to be played out in today's Internet battleground, I believe that the disciplined and focused Rudy Jordache would have designed and maintained his website, WITHseo.com, taking into account its usability and relevance in order to ensure that his products and services were visible to the online community. No doubt his "bad boy" brother would exercise poor judgment and lack the attention to detail and patience needed to give his website, WITHOUTseo.com, a fighting chance. Perhaps we'd learn of his ties to the Internet underworld of "spammers" whose short-term, overly-aggressive techniques might even get his website banned from the search engines.

I designed this case study, Rich Website, Poor Website to demonstrate and test the web page optimization techniques that many Internet marketing and SEO experts use. These techniques take into account recommendations made by major search engines and in general are designed to both improve a visitor's online experience and enhance website visibility.

Note that this study is by no means intended to be a controlled scientific experiment. There are simply too many factors affecting web site visibility that are beyond my control! I do hope you find the contrasting techniques employed by these two sites interesting and educational, and I hope that WITHseo.com outperforms WITHOUTseo.com or the network could cancel the miniseries before Part 2 even airs!

Project Description The WITHseo.com site along with its companion site WITHoutseo.com are designed to demonstrate techniques that EBIZ Machine and other Internet marketing consultants use to improve web site visibility. Both sites were designed in Macromedia Dreamweaver using the same templates and styles. Both sites were launched at the same time (May 1st, 2007) and both are hosted on the same web server by EBIZ Machine.

The search engine optimization tips described below were used in the design and development of Rudy's Rich Website, WITHseo.com. In contrast, Tom's website, WITHOUTseo.com, was simply developed, deployed and ignored. Moreover, WITHOUTseo.com actually employs a couple of development techniques thought to impede website usability and indexing by some search engines.

I'll assume that, at his core, Tom meant well despite his many lapses in judgment. After all, several of the bad guys he beat up deserved it. Hence, no spamming, "spamdexing" or animal cruelty techniques were utilized that could potentially penalize WITHOUTseo.com, Tom, or this author's reputation.

Project Premise The web page optimization applied to WITHseo.com should result in better search engine performance. In other words, I expect the Rich Website to outperform the Poor Website. Next, I will get more specific about the criteria I'll rely upon to assess their respective performances.

Success Criteria In order to contrast the "performance" of our competing websites, the following metrics will be tracked and analyzed:

  • Indexed Pages – I'll compare the number of web pages that are indexed in the Google search engine and Yahoo! Directory.
  • Google PageRank – I'll compare the "PageRank" of each site.
  • Web Page Analytics – I'll compare key site statistics such as page views and website visitors
  • Inbound Links – I'll look at inbound links as an indicator of web site popularity
  • Part 2 of this Internet miniseries will analyze actual results once the techniques discussed below have had time to germinate. Project Constraints / Disclaimers As mentioned earlier, this study is designed for demonstration and discussion purposes – it is not a scientific study. Moreover, this is not an attempt to highlight tricks or methods designed to fool the search engines. Although this site and study are designed to be informational and educational, it is not clear if and how the experimental nature of these sites will affect their search engine indexing. Rich Website – SEO Techniques Used for WITHseo.com As described below, a number of standard search engine optimization techniques were used to improve the usability and visibility of the WITHseo.com home page. I assume that Rudy would consult with reputable Internet marketing consultants and employ techniques recommended and approved by search engines.

    A. Techniques Used: Keyword Research In my recent article "Web Page Keywords – Do's and Don'ts" which you can review or download at http://www.ebizmachine.com/seotips.html, I discuss how to find keyword phrases that are related to your business and that your potential customers actually use in Google, Yahoo! or other Internet search engines and directories.

Attempting to "practice what I preach", the following tools and concepts were considered in the course of developing the keyphrases selected for WITHseo.com:

  • Overture Keyword Selector Tool - inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
  • The Google Suggest keyword selection tool - google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en
  • Note, however, that keyword popularity alone is not enough! I scrubbed my list of phrases carefully to ensure each phrase is BOTH popular and relevant to the website goals. I want phrases that generate a reasonable volume of qualified leads.
  • Using these tools to generate alternative keywords and assess the popularity of those phrases, I created a short list of phrases that were consistent with the theme and objectives of the website. I concluded that "Search Engine Optimization Tips" and "SEO Tips" were both relevant and popular Internet searches that are consistent with the strategy behind the WITHseo.com site.

    B. Techniques Used: Keyword Placement There are a number of recommended locations where keywords should appear. The WITHseo.com keyphrases were incorporated in these locations:

  • Title Tag in Anchor Tags
  • Meta Keyword Tags
  • Heading Tag Content (i.e H1, H2)
  • Body Text
  • URL/Filenames/Links
  • The document title for the WITHseo.com home page is "Search Engine Optimization Tips - WITHseo.com SEO Case Study Description" (bold added for emphasis). Note that our targeted key phrase "Search Engine Optimization Tips" is a part of the page title. Although you cannot see it, the WITHseo.com home page has the following keywords Meta tag embedded in the home page source code:
    • meta name="keywords" content="search engine optimization tips, seo tips, search engine optimization, seo, web site optimization, denver, colorado, ebiz, ebiz machine, case study, seo study, seo case study"
Again, the bold text (bold added for emphasis) is the key phrase for which the home page is optimized. Our keyphrase occurs in the body text, but not at an excessive frequency. I shoot for inclusion of our keywords in the web page content in a visible but modest manner. The sentence "WITH SEO is a Search Engine Optimization Tips Web Site Brought to you by Web Design & Internet Consultant EBIZ Machine" is the first sentence indexed by Google. Again, our keyphrase appears there. Last I checked, the keyword density for "search engine optimization tips" was just under 2% of the words that appear on the home page. The home page contains two headings:
    • Header 1:Search Engine Optimization Tips - SEO Techniques (bold added for emphasis)
    • Header 2: Denver Colorado web design and Internet consulting company EBIZ Machine has designed a case study to educate businesses about techniques used to improve the usability and relevance of their websites and ensure that their products and services are visible to the online community.
As an example of a text link that references the key phrase, the home page contains the following link: "We will do our best to frequently publish results of this search engine optimization tips case study. Click here to view the results drawn from this case study thus far." (bold added for emphasis) Note that when you click this link, you are directed to the study results page. Again, our key phrase is embedded in both the main heading and the text of the link. C. Techniques Used: Link Building The goal behind link building is to develop "inbound" links to your web pages in order to drive traffic to your site and improve your search engine ranking. This topic was the subject of a previous article "SEO Link Building – Who, What, When, Where, Why (and How)" which you can view or download at http://www.ebizmachine.com/search-engine-optimization-link-building.html. I mention in this article that links from "authoritative" websites and "related" industry sites carry the most weight. I intend to utilize the tools and techniques discussed there to build high quality online references to the WITHseo.com site and study. It's clear that link building is a very time consuming process. Our goal is to add a few relevant links every so often so as to be consistent with natural growth. I'll look for online publishing opportunities and relevant newsletters willing to share the premise and results of this study.

    D. Techniques Used: Sitemaps Both Google [2] and Yahoo [3] offer a process by which you can provide information about the web pages that make up your site AND expedite the indexing process. Here's a handy tool you can use to create a Google sitemap: sitemapspal.com. In the case of WITHseo.com, I have followed the recommended validation and sitemap submission steps described in the Google and Yahoo articles referenced in the footnotes.

    E. Techniques Used: Development Technologies Although frequently debated, it appears that the use of certain development technologies may impede proper indexing of website pages. Examples cited include HTML frames, Macromedia Flash animation, complicated internal links and JavaScript. To the extent possible, I avoid the use of these technologies in the WITHseo.com development.

WITHseo.com is a "static" HTML website - no Flash, frames, or database access are used. JavaScript is kept to a minimum and internal page links used to navigate the WITHseo.com pages consist of simple directory paths.

Poor Website – SEO Techniques Used for WITHOUTseo.com I assume that Tom would show hostility towards the SEO techniques his brother used. The plan for the Poor Website is to exercise poor judgment in its design and then ignore it. Its "Meta Tags", including keywords and page descriptions, are left undefined. No attempt has been made to optimize the WITHOUTseo.com web page content or embed keyphrases in site links and URLs. Going forward, no attempt will be made to refresh, update or enhance the site. I think Tom Jordache would be proud! I hope that this is not how you developed your site!

In addition, the WITHOUTseo.com site has been designed using development techniques thought to impede website usability and its success in search engine performance. For example, WITHOUTseo.com utilizes JavaScript navigation. Text links that were intentionally added to WITHseo.com are not a part of the WITHOUTseo.com pages.

In the webdesign world, HTML "frames" are sometimes used on web pages to display multiple or long HTML documents in the same browser window. Because frames are thought to impede indexing in some search engines, they are utilized for WITHOUTseo.com.

Conclusion It's been a long time, but, as I recall, in the "Rich Man, Poor Man" TV miniseries both brothers suffered great personal tragedy and TV viewers lost many hours of productive time glued to the set. However, from a commercial and economic standpoint I believe it's safe to say that Rudy was certainly more of a commercial success than his misfit brother Tom.

In this "Website Visibility Battle of Epic Proportions", only time will tell if the Rich Website WITHseo.com triumphs over its sibling site WITHOUTseo.com. As described above, I have taken a number of steps to "stack the deck" in Rudy's WITHseo.com favor.

My plan is to publish and discuss the results of this study after enough time has passed to allow these techniques to run their course. I'll call it Part 2 of the Rich Website, Poor Website miniseries. At that same time, I'll focus more on techniques and metrics used to judge the success or failure of a search engine marketing program. So, stay tuned!

Top 3 Keyword Research Tips – Take Keyword Research to the Next Level

Keyword research is one of the first steps in picking out a product to promote, trying to discover a profitable niche without a ridiculous amount of competition or creating products to fit targeted keywords. If keyword research is not conducted in depth or properly it will greatly scathe the potential of your website or revenue potential of a selected affiliate product. The following tip list will guide you towards conducting professional keyword research with little effort.

    Tip #1: Utilize Keyword Tools
There are dozens of keyword tools out on the market from Overture (rumors are that overture was decommissioned) to Wordtracker and hundreds of others that draw data from Overture (http://inventory.overture.com). The keyword I suggest using is AdWords Analyzer if you are extremely serious about your ventures or for a free tool Good Keywords.

    Tip #2: Target Keyword Phrases
The top mistake researchers make is trying to target towards the keyword with the most searches in their list, which is most likely an extremely broad keyword or two. The problem with that is that the broad word(s) likely have a ridiculous amount of competition that would again hurt the potential of your website. It is smart to narrow down to exact phrases that tightly target your ideal customer. For example, let's say you are selling an e-Book you wrote on "vegetarian cooking for single moms" or something else highly targeted. It would be a mistake to target the keywords "cooking" or "vegetarian cooking" as your primary keyword focus. Get as specific as possible by targeting the most specific keyword phrases you can, even if that phrase doesn't get a few hundred thousand searches a month when a user does search for your phrase you bet if your site is on page one they will visit almost ready to buy.

Tip #3: Optimize Your Website with Your Researched Phrase
Now that you have discovered your specific keyword phrases you need to implement them in your website so search engines are aware that your site is related to the subsequent keyword phrase. Make sure to include your primary keyword in your keyword meta tag in your html header, page title and to include it in 4-7% of your website's content meaning that it should show up in articles or other writings within your site. Aside from your primary keyword phrase make sure to include a variation and a secondary specific phrase after that you may want to include broad keywords at the end of meta tags just incase your site takes off and you have a shot at beating stiff competition.

SEO Elite – Search Engine Optimisation On Heat!

SEO Elite was the first Brad Callen developed software I owned. I found his SEO Elite site whilst looking for SEO resources back in 2006. At the time I'd never heard of him. So when I saw his claims that SEO Elite would bring in 15,000 visitors a day I was pretty sceptical! Initially therefore I didn't part with $167, instead I signed up for his free SEO lessons to see if they were any good.

His lessons were great, I quickly learnt lots of SEO tips and techniques that I had not seen before. They taught me the importance of both on and off page search engine optimisation, and in particular the importance of having links coming into my site. I therefore decided to spend $167 on SEO Elite.

Why SEO Elite? Well quite simply it's an awesome tool for optimising your web site, both on page and off.

In seconds you can analyse the on page optimisation of the top ranking web sites in your niche. Even better as well as returning the urls, it returns their contact email addresses also, so with just one email, you can contact hundreds of relevant sites requesting link exchanges.

SEO Elite automates in minutes what it would take you days to do … its that good!

SEO Elite also lets you update your links page automatically and then checks that sites are linking back to you at any time.

Tired of Plain Old Ordinary Selling? Generate Sales With These 4 Potent Ingredients To Achieve The U

As we all know, the best salespeople always bring something of value to the selling process. Not value in terms of money; but value to the buyer. At the conclusion of every sale, something is taken away by the salesperson and the buyer.

However, in exchange for what is taken away, something of far more value to the buyer is given in exchange. Certain ingredients have to be present in the selling process in order to bring the sale to a successful completion.

In this article, we will discuss the following ingredients; all or most of which, must be present to achieve a successful sale.

    1. Find the answer to a problem.

    2. Ensure that you over deliver.

    3. Walk a mile in your buyers shoes

    4. Sell the final benefit.

Find the answer to a problem

Everyone wants to improve the future of their children. Today, education undoubtedly holds the key; but it is expensive. University tuition to most, presents a formidable challenge. If that tuition can be broken down into bite size manageable chunks, you will have an ear.

When you breakdown the challenge of tuition and clearly outline your answer to the familys financial dilemma, you would have satisfied an identifiable need. When you have made the problem go away and you have delivered far more than what the family expected, you are well on your way to achieving great things in the selling arena.

    Ensure that you over deliver

Selling is being an act of kindness. Have you ever heard it said that this world is made up of two kinds of people, givers and takers? You have! Great! Which one are you? Salespeople should be givers; at least successful salespeople that is. Give more than what you get should be the motto of all salespeople. Always, but always over deliver and you have a buyer for life.

Walk a mile in your buyers shoes

People are wired differently. The neatly bundled package they present to you may be their way of coping with the stresses and strains of life. Find out what makes them tick. What are their chief concerns, their dreams, fears, daily challenges? Once you find all that out, then you will be able to empathize and truly understand the challenges they face.

    Sell the final benefit

I have always wondered how Mercedes Benz manages to stay in business. Their cars are extremely expensive. These cars allow people to let others know that they are well heeled. All of a sudden, it dawned on me that what they really sell is image and status. Mercedes Benz appeals to something that runs much deeper within people than their pockets. They really sell the final benefits that come as a result of owning their luxury car.

These four ingredients must be present in the selling process in order to reap success. They can also be defined as personal characteristics. Without doubt they are characteristics present in givers. We have covered just a few of the ingredients that must be present in order to make the selling experience a successful one.

Google Still Has No Love for Professional SEO (search Engine Optimization) Developers

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION IS IMPERATIVE FOR A WEB BUSINESS TO SUCCEED

If an online business these days really wants to increase their overall profit margin, then they usually HAVE to have at least a top twenty page ranking in Google to get a few hundred new customers coming to their site every week. The best way to get to that goal is to optimize their web pages for the search engines to see that they have the best relevant content devoted to their specific market or industry.

This article will not discuss "black hat" SEO techniques or any search engine optimization dirty tricks. I will only be discussing truly professional methods that legitimate SEO companies use every day to get their clients that huge push to the top ten or twenty rankings in Google specifically.

GOOGLE SHOULD BE REALISTIC WHEN IT COMES TO THE WAY THE WEB WORKS TODAY

It is a fact today that the way the internet runs when it comes to ranking web pages does not sit well with Google. They don't appreciate the fact that because a site has forty great links to other larger sites, it will have a much better internet rank than one that only has four or five good links in its site. Google also does not like the modifications to sites that increase web page keyword optimization such as changing your title page to reflect a much better keyword target than the one you had previously on your main site page.

Because of the fact that the web was in this state before Google arrived on the scene, Google should just acknowledge that they will never be able to change entirely the way search engines will have to work in the future so they can embrace the present as far as dealing with the real pros who have taken SEO techniques to the level that they are at today.

HOW DO PEOPLE WEB SURF TODAY?

With so many different web sites available to a person searching for "horror movie posters", for example, that web surfer looking for high quality posters in his price range will go to probably the fourth page on Google's "horror movie poster" keyword search index. There is absolutely no way that Google can supply every relevant result for that specific keyword phrase.

The problem is that a poster company called "The Movie Poster Hut" in Kansas City might have the best deal on giving this web surfer exactly what he wants at a great low price, but because of the incompetence or lack of knowledge by the web designer of the "Movie Poster Hut" to put in relevant keywords in the main title page of that poster site, it ranks 1200th in Google's "horror movie poster" pages, and this web surfer will never see it.

But if a professional SEO company got involved in optimizing all of the movie poster company's web pages, that web surfer would be a very happy man who just got a better deal on his movie poster than he ever thought possible. Why on Earth would Google have a problem with that?

WHAT EXACTLY IS GOOGLE'S PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO SEO TECHNIQUES?

What Google would love to see is a world wide web that is only indexed by their search engine which will no longer see higher page rankings due to link exchanges and keyword optimization techniques. In Google's strict submission guidelines, they actually embrace some non-SEO tasks as being ethical, but never include normal SEO techniques like SEO-copywriting as being anything you should include in your web pages upon submitting your pages to Google.

This attitude of hostility against SEO companies and techniques that Google currently has needs to change. The sole job that Google is to generate to their web visitors the most relevant online businesses and blog sites that come up on their pages when a specific keyword is typed into their search bar. The legitimate SEO companies are doing their best to get their qualified business clients in the top twenty rankings using ethical SEO techniques.

Google should be intertwined with SEO professionals and SEO companies instead of being at odds with them. That is the only way that the internet will be able to grow and flourish in the coming years.

Your Site As An Advertising Platform

The impact of all types of advertising ranks first television commercials. This is due to many reasons: the vast audience, scenic, colorful images, the possibility of combining color, sound and image in the same spot. Disadvantages are the continuation of dignity television advertising.

For example, we all know that in most cases at the time of ad impressions or viewers switch off the TV sound and go about their business, or simply switch to another channel. Moreover, due to financial constraints, not all companies can afford to allocate sufficient funds for the establishment spot, showing his prime (time with the highest number of viewers), and lengthy broadcast spot (usually the 30 seconds) could not be housed information on the product or service.

Also remember that to achieve meaningful impact spot to be shown more than once. Because of restrictions in the planning of advertising firms to first go to great financial cost, secondly, just to calculate advertising. With the help of a TV advertisement can be no more than one advertising goals: branding firms, advertising trademark, or advertising a product / service.

Combine all in one spot almost impossible. Equally important is the correct placement and roll to the target audience. From the above it follows that errors in the positioning of advertising on television has reduced its effectiveness and efficiency.

The site, while retaining the benefits of most television advertising is largely free of defects. Thanks to modern technology on the site can accommodate animated clips, sound, in addition, the image quality of any monitor much better television, and thus, the end user will see a clear and vivid picture.

The site owner is not limited in the amount of information can more consistently and in detail all the advantages and characteristics of products and services, an integrated online advertising campaign to promote both firms and individual trademarks, products, services. If television advertising aired a short period of time a large audience in one site showing a relatively small number of visitors, but not limited nor on the number of hits, either by time of day.

It should be noted that one user company to be more powerful than one viewer, simple watch television advertising. This is because visitors to a site or through a search engine, or pre-known address, or to another site, that is a deliberate action to get information they need, while the viewer receives advertising 'tied'. To maximize advertising impact large corporations use dual types of advertising, such as ad spot with reference to the company site.

As mentioned above, the quality of images and information can be posted on the site are limited only by imagination designer and Marketing. Moreover, in contrast to the press site offers information to the operational changes and long-term storage of advertising on the site is limited to the wishes of the owner of the site, while the duration of the advertising in the periodical is the same as for the lives of the newspaper or magazine.

In summing up, it is worth noting that the site is an inexpensive and effective means of advertising, providing opportunities that are denied to other media: double feedback from the users, the ability to change information, low cost support, the possibility of marketing research, unlimited geographical audience Availability of information. It should also be noted that the article did not include the other opportunities offered by the site.

KeywordDiscovery VS Wordtracker - How Do They Compare?

If you have been marketing on the internet for any length of time you are bound to have come across the keyword tools KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker. There is a crucial reason for this as an essential part of any internet marketing campaign is your keyword research and choice of keywords. This applies to a variety of internet marketing campaigns and is just as relevant for pay per click (PPC) advertising as it is for organic search marketing through search engine optimisation (SEO).

It is generally recognised that KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker are the industry leaders when it comes to keyword research. Bear in mind that there are paid alternatives for keyword research out there such as NicheBot. In addition to this there is also a plethora of free keyword research tools available with Yahoo's Overture tool being one of the best out there.

It is beyond the scope of this article to look at the main alternatives to KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker but it is definitely a subject that I want to cover at a later date as they are important alternatives. The main focus in this article is KeywordDiscovery vs Wordtracker
    - what are their main data sources and how do they compare in use?

First off, I have to admit that I am biased. I have tried virtually all the keyword research tools, paid and free, known to man. After a lot of trial and error I have finally settled on KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker for my day to day work as it is my sincere belief that they are the best tools out there!

KeywordDiscovery vs Wordtracker – where does the data come from?

The main advantage of KeywordDiscovery is the fact that it draws its data from a very large keyword database of over 32 billion searches compiled from over 180 search engines. This data is also compiled over a 12 month period so you get seasonal trends as well and this makes for a very large and comprehensive database.

This contrasts with Wordtracker which draws its keyword data from just Dogpile and Metacrawler which are two metacrawler search engines. These search engines aggregate search results in one place from a variety sources but the initial query is made in the metacrawler engine. Wordtrackers database is made up of over 300 million keyword phrases that users have typed into Dogpile and Metacrawler in the past 90 days.

This means that, in theory, you are much more likely to get accurate keyword data from KeywordDiscovery as is, statistically, drawing from a much larger keyword sample than Wordtracker. It also means that the data is smoother as it is looking at 365 days history rather than 90 days as Wordtracker does.

This "smoothness" also means that KeywordDiscovery caters very well for seasonal anomalies. For example, you might find that the keyword "christmas decorations" is heavily searched on if you ran a query in Wordtracker in November whereas KeywordDiscovery would show you that this may not be the case in April!

Paradoxically, this larger size of KeywordDiscovery's data sample actually highlights a big advantage that Wordtracker has over its rival: it is widely believed that Wordtracker contains cleaner data as its source data form the metacrawlers is not plagued by automated queries carrying out keyword research etc.

This can be a serious problem with some keyword tools and can provide flawed results if you are researching a very popular or competitive niche as the results are not representative of organic or natural search! As KeywordDiscovery does not fully disclose where it obtains its search data from it is probably safer to assume that there is an element of data skew or "corruption" in KeywordDiscovery keyword results.

There is also a theory that Wordtracker is not very representative of the average internet user as it obtains its keyword data from just Dogpile and Metacrawler. Now the average internet user will probably never have heard of these search engines and just use the major ones such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

This theory stems form the belief that users of Dogpile and Metacrawler are internet savvy and, as a result, their searches are not representative of the internet as a whole. This is not the case with KeywordDiscovery which draws it data from over 180 search engines so is much more likely to contain a sample of data that represents the internet as a whole.

This is a crucial point as you could rely on Wordtracker for 100% of your keyword research and subsequently find that KeywordDiscovery showed a very different picture for the same core keywords!

KeywordDiscovery vs Wordtracker - Ease of Use

I found that KeywordDiscovery was much easier to jump into than Wordtracker. It has a simpler interface although its use of icons for various actions takes a little getting used to carrying out your research, saving projects etc is not too hard. It is also faster if you need to carry out quick keyword research.

With Wordtracker, the learning curve is a little steeper. For example, when I first started using it I did not realise that, when querying the search engines, you could only submit batches of 100 keyword phrases at a time. Consequently many of the keywords I saved in my baskets where not analysed! I also didn't realise that significance of projects and their use for organising keywords. Overall I would say that KeywordDiscovery has a simpler interface and is easy to get started with but Wordtracker offers a very full experience once the learning curve is achieved as it does some very deep long tail keyword mining.

    KeywordDiscovery vs Wordtracker - Conclusion

KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker are both top quality keyword research tools. I actually believe that they are complementary as they draw their keyword data from different sources and present it differently. This is why I personally use both keyword research tools. I usually start my initial research with KeywordDiscovery as, due to their large database, they have a good variety of well trafficked keyword terms that originate of your seed keywords. Once I have these subsidiary terms I then fire up Wordtracker to do the real deep long tail keyword mining on these subsidiary terms. As you probably know, these long tail keyword phrases are gold!

The crucial thing is not to rely on just one keyword tool as both KeywordDiscovery and Wordtracker can provide very different results for the same set of core keywords due to the fact that they pull data from different sources. The key to success is to realise the strengths and weaknesses of each tool. Once this is done, intelligent application of both tools will bring you guaranteed success in your internet marketing whether it is via PPC or SEO!

The Importance of a Squeeze Page

If you could increase your sales just by adding a page to your website, would you do it? Of course you would. So if you are reading this, you probably don't have a squeeze page yet. Just to make sure you're aware, a squeeze page is the page that a potential client goes to before the sales page, where they will input their email addresses. This is where most people encounter the "opt in" where you offer them something in exchange for their email addresses. Many times this offer is a monthly newsletter that is brimming with information they are interested in.

Why is this important? Because it helps you build your email list. Through list building, you have more potential customers to send notices, RSS, newsletters, and even more sales letters in the future. And, you have their permission to do it. Because you don't have to go on a campaign to grab email addresses--it's always in front of people waiting for them to fill in--it saves you time going out and pursuing them.

List building is important because it increases your sales by increasing your exposure. You can find squeeze page managers out there that will report statistics on the effectiveness of your squeeze page. If you have not been list building, you are losing important contacts, a larger email list to show supporters, and you are also missing some revenues you could be gaining from increased exposure.

    The Basics of RSS Feeds

With the new technology available in the worlds of electronic communication and the Internet, it can be hard to keep up with all the latest gadgets. In this article, we cover the basics of RSS feeds.

RSS is an acronym, and it stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is one of several ways that web authors and publishers can use to make sure that their updated information gets to their readers in a quick and efficient way. Most often, RSS feeds are used to update readers of blogs or news sites on new information that has been posted, or in the case of podcasts, new audio that has been uploaded.

Now that we have been able to answer the question, what is an RSS feed, let's take a look at how it works. RSS is maintained by using a code known as XML, which stands for extensible markup language. This generic data format is a good way to be able to send out your RSS feed without having to use a lot of graphics or other large file formats. A reader program, downloaded by the reader or subscriber to your blog or other website, is able to take the XML information and put it into a usable context so it can be read and enjoyed.

There are a few types of RSS feeds out there, most commonly RSS 1.0 and RSS 2.0. While most people who use RSS today are updated to RSS 2.0 (the most user friendly and advanced version of the Really Simple Syndication feed), there are still a few older sites that use the 1.0 technology. Most of the RSS feed readers available today are able to read either format, but it is important to check before downloading or using a reader.

RSS feeds are easily used by the programmer, because many of the most popular website hosting and building sites allow quick implementation of this code. Other sites, such as Blogger (the most popular free blogging site and network) as well as the major blogging software companies, allow RSS feeds to be built from within their programs without needing the use of coding or other technical know-how. This means that all bloggers can use this technology to their advantage without having to learn a whole new set of codes.

What is an RSS feed? It's a great way to make sure your followers, readers or devotees can keep up to date with your web site and the information contained on it. It is also easy to use on both the publisher and consumer ends, making it a perfect solution for information dissemination.
